Who is today’s 25 year-old woman? Hosted by Willow Bay, award-winning journalist, this television special presentation will answer the question and we’ll do it by giving the women of this generation a voice. We will hear from career women, stay-at-home Moms, social activists, celebrities and trendsetters as they define for themselves what it means to be 25 in 2006.

There’s no question we are fascinated with Generation Y, particularly as it enters the workforce and women in this generation are capturing a lion’s share of the buzz. They are smart, resourceful, more savvy about technology than previous generations and they dive into today’s job market armed with a skill set that’s in demand – and they know it. Though there is little doubt that Gen Y women care deeply about their careers and want to do a “good job” they also enter the work force with a sense of entitlement - demanding a high salaries, constant positive reinforcement and enough time off from work to peruse their passions outside the office. Though their work philosophy differs sharply from their Gen X and Boomer superiors, as the largest generation to enter the workforce in decades Gen Y is impossible to ignore and corporate America is listening. Spotlight 25 will take viewers beyond the corporate ladder and reveal how the most innovative of companies are adapting to the demands of this unique generation.
